Lost in the Politics
Where is my country
The country I fought for
Where is my America
Trodden beneath the feet of uncaring
Politicians
Noisy special interests
Bought and sold
By corporations and lobbyists
No longer for the people
But for the select few
The boy next-door
Can no longer be president
Unless next-door
Is in Martha’s Vineyard
Presidents and politicos
Are not held accountable
The vote is a sham
When you vote against instead of for
Time has come
To tear down the dome
To flush the marble halls
Of their filth
To reclaim America
To make it
My America and Your America
Our America instead of their
America.
Where is my country
We have been sold down the river
Our jobs have been sold across the ocean
In exchange for poison toys
Rise up citizens
Give the land back to the rightful owners
The savage red man
Join him in hunting the buffalo
In living a simple life
Discard your Gucci and Armani
Trade them for skins and loincloths
Let the air and rivers heal
Fertilize the earth with the bodies of
The usurpers
And dance a war dance upon their ashes.
